Let Art Take Center Stage

Bring a little piece of Kansas into your home or business with an original photograph and custom art creation and installation by Gregory Wagner, a photographer with over four decades as a professional photographer.  The goal of Photo Art Gallery in Lindsborg, Kansas is to provide an elegant, innovative and friendly environment for Fine Art Photography, and the exhibit “Kansas Metal Show” will present Greg’s views of Kansas in this setting.

Meet the Artist

In late 1985, “Wagner Photography” was contracted by the Chicago Cubs baseball fantasy camp to provide action, candid and team photos to players who signed up to play ball for a week with ex-major-league ball players as their coaches and instructors.  Working with the Cubs led to countless other opportunities in the sports photography world including shooting NFL football, baseball at all levels from Little League to Major League, and numerous other, and sometimes unusual, sports such as rugby, synchronized swimming, figure skating, fencing, and even Ultimate Frisbee.

Though sports photography plays a continuing role in Greg’s life, his passion for wildlife, nature, architectural, travel and fine art photography has become stronger and stronger over the past several years. Deploying the skills that he has developed, Greg has a refined sense of space and perspective, now translated into comprehensive art displays in the form of single photographs and mosaics, both printed on aluminum, for homes, businesses, and beyond.

What is a Photographic Mosaic?

While standing in right field of an Over-55 League baseball game, a brand-new artistic idea popped into Greg’s head. He envisioned taking one of his photos, greatly enlarging it and making a smaller series of pieces of the whole photo, using strategic and important sections, and, finally, reassembling the photo to scale as a large piece of wall décor.  Each and every photographic mosaic is unique and completely customized for the owner’s tastes and display space.

At “Kansas Metal Show”, images will be displayed on beautiful aluminum prints and ultra-high-definition screens. Art collectors and business owners will be inspired by the display of one-of-a-kind photographic mosaics and limited prints that capture the beauty of rural Kansas life.
